Question

What time does the ceremony start?

Answer

Our ceremony starts at 4:30pm at Pearl Mansion. Cocktail hour and reception will follow at the venue and will end at 11:00pm

What should I wear?

Answer

Our dress code is semi-formal/cocktail. Men should wear a suit with a tie for the ceremony but it does not have to be black. Women should wear a cocktail dress, maxi dress, skirt and blouse, or a nice jumpsuit.

What are the wedding colors?

Answer

Our wedding colors are "Sunrise", consisting of sky blue, pink, orange, and white. Bridesmaids will be in light blue dresses. Groomsmen will be in black suits.

Will there be food?

Answer

Yes, plenty! After the ceremony, we will have grazing tables and hand passed hors d'oeuvres during the Cocktail Hour. Our reception will include a plated meal for each guest. You should select your entrée from the provided menu when you RSVP. Of course there will be cake! And we will end the night with a S'mores bar.

Will there be alcohol?

Answer

Of course! We will have an open bar stocked with beer, wine and liquor. There will also be plenty of non-alcoholic options.

Is the wedding outside?

Answer

The ceremony will be outside on the lawn in front of the house. Cocktail hour will be outside at the gazebo and patio by the pond. The reception will be inside with access to the gazebo for drinks.

Is there a hotel block?

Answer

Yes! We have hotel blocks at the Holiday Inn Express in South End and the Hilton Garden Inn in Uptown. Both hotels are about 25 minutes from the venue and central to all the places we love in Charlotte. Check out the "Travel" tab for more booking instructions.

Can I take an Uber?

Answer

Yes, our venue will allow ubers to drop guests off up until 30 minutes before the ceremony. You are also allowed to leave your car overnight at the venue if you enjoy a drink or two and need to uber home.

Are kids invited?

Answer

We love everyone's children! However, we are kindly asking that only family bring any kids under the age of 18. All kids that are invited will be included on the parent's RVSP

Is there a registry?

Answer

Yes. Please see the "Registry" tab on the website for additional information. We have a selection of gifts that you can wrap and bring with you or ship directly to us. We also have a few different honeymoon/house funds set up if you don't want to pick out a gift.

Can I change my RSVP

Answer

Of course! Please reach out to Megan or Chris beforehand and we will help you change any of your responses after you submit your form.

How can I see my RSVP?

Answer

If you don't receive an email with your RSVP information you can always go to the RSVP tab, type in your name and see your responses.

Question

What if I want to come in Thursday night instead of Friday?

Answer

The Holiday Inn Express block is able to add an additional night for any guests that would prefer to travel in on Thursday instead of Friday and stay through Sunday. Please book through the Holiday Inn Express hotel block as directed on the "Travel" tab, then reach out to Megan or Chris and we will put you in contact with the hotel manager who will manually add an extra night to your reservation.
