1:30-1:45: please arrive at the gardens and enter through the main gate wearing a mask! 2pm: Ceremony in ROMANTIC GARDEN 2:30-3:30: Family pictures/bridal party pictures, guests may roam the gardens and enjoy the scenery 3:30-5:30: all guests will gather at the WOODLAND MOSAIC SOLARIUM for appetizers and mingling. There will be a photo booth for fun pictures, plenty of seating areas for visiting and the bride and groom will enjoy a dance to the string duo. 5:30: cake cutting & dessert service 6:30: bouquet toss and send off! ***of course this is all tentative....sometimes weddings run a little behind but this should be a pretty close estimate. After picking out the red dress in the pictures, Travis and Heidi drove down to Bishop Castle with a romantic picnic where they “bumped into” one of Heidi’s photographers who was there doing “location scouting” and asked Heidi and Travis to sit in for a test shoot to help with lighting and posing (since they were so dressed up) and then Travis got on his knee and read a beautiful poem and popped the question while everything was being photographed and videoed. He had set it all up in advance to have the photographers there to surprise her. Later the couple had their picnic and enjoyed a lovely drive through the mountains to return home as a newly engaged couple!
While we know this is a unique time in our country and economy, we dont want to wait any longer to be joined together and want to move ahead with a small local family celebration. We don’t want to endanger anyone and believe everyone should stay safe and healthy and since we won’t be including out of town guests, we fully intend to make future travel plans to visit both sides of the family! We appreciate your understanding and cooperation. Should there be any major changes in the Covid pandemic, we will adjust as needed but currently feel confident in moving forward with plans at this time.
