Why are you getting married in Ohio?

Answer

Tom proposed to Heidi on Memorial Day Weekend 2025 at Pymatuning Lake (Western Pennsylvania), where his extended family has spent every summer for decades, and near the very spot where his parents became engaged. Just hours before he proposed, they had lunch at the Peter Allen Inn (Ohio) and knew even before becoming engaged that it would be the perfect wedding venue. We are so excited to share some "Pyma Magic" with all of you!

What is the dress code?

Answer

We are so excited for our summer wedding, and hope everyone will join us with formal garden attire--color appreciated! Gentlemen should please wear a jacket and tie, ladies to please observe a comparable sartorial standard. After party is back at the hotel--feel free to stay formal or be casual!

My invite does not mention my significant other. Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

If your invitation does not refer to a plus one but you would like to bring your significant other, please contact the bride and groom as soon as possible.

Question

My invite does not mention my children. Are they invited?

Answer

While we absolutely adore the literally dozens of children in our lives, we unfortunately cannot accommodate children at the wedding or the reception.

Transportation and Ubers

Answer

We highly encourage everyone to take advantage of the transportation provided to/from the Grand Resort for the wedding and reception. There is also parking available at the Church and venue. With respect to Ubers, please keep in mind that it is a rural area, and Ubers can sometimes have a long wait.

Fun Activities

Answer

June at the Pyma is a wonderful time of year, and the Grand Resort has a host of amenities to enjoy. In addition to a full golf course and golf simulators, the Resort has multiple pools, spa, and an arcade. Guests who are not staying at the Grand Resort can still purchase day passes at the Grand Resort by mentioning the wedding. Off the Resort, there are numerous hiking trails in the wider area.
