In June 2024, we met on Bumble and quickly realized we had a lot in common. Our first date at Grizzly Peak was easy from the start, filled with laughter and the kind of conversation that makes you lose track of time. It didn’t take long to feel like something special was unfolding. From there, we discovered just how much we love doing life together. Whether it’s golfing (with no gimmies), boating on Y Knot, running a race together, or planning our next trip to places like Key West, Northern Michigan, the Bahamas, and Switzerland, we’re always up for an adventure. We also love cheering on Catholic Central and Michigan football, catching Detroit Tigers games, and enjoying a night out at a concert. Some of our favorite moments are the ones we get to share with our families, friends, and with Jack and Nolan while making memories together along the way. And of course, Maizee keeps us active with plenty of walks and hikes. Through it all, our faith has been our foundation, and we believe that God brought us together exactly when we were meant to find each other. What started with a swipe has turned into a life we love—filled with laughter, adventure, and so many memories still to come. We feel incredibly lucky to have found each other—and even more excited for all that’s ahead. We can't wait to celebrate with you!

The start of forever began with top-secret planning, a lot of love, and the perfect surprise. In the weeks leading up to the proposal, Steve teamed up with Heidi’s parents to create a moment they would never forget. From scouting locations to even sending “practice” photos of Heidi's Dad down on one knee, no detail was overlooked in finding just the right setting. While Heidi was in Florida visiting her parents, the plan quietly came together. What she didn’t know? Steve had flown in the night before and planned the surprise of a lifetime. The morning of, Heidi, Mom, Dad and Maizee headed to breakfast at the Jupiter Beach Resort. Upon arriving, they walked to the beach to take a few photos with Maizee on what felt like a picture-perfect day. As Heidi took in the moment, she noticed someone sitting nearby… Steve turned around—and everything changed. In the most beautiful surprise, Steve got down on one knee and asked the question that would start forever. Heidi said yes (of course!), and it became the most unforgettable, joy-filled day. The easiest “yes” to the best surprise—and the beginning of everything.
