Our Story

Heidi and I have known each other for years. We first met at the facility we both took softball lessons. She became close with my family through helping out with my younger sisters lessons. Time went on and we both ended up at Mississippi State for softball. We were there at different times (she’s four years older than me), but we stayed in touch over the years. After she graduated, we remained friends, but it wasn’t until 2021 that we truly became close. Around that time, Heidi let me know that if I was ever interested in something more than friendship, she would want to try. It caught me by surprise! I told her we were too good of friends to risk changing what we had! We were part of the same tight-knit group of friends and spent more and more time together. But after a few years—and a lot of fun memories together—we decided to take a chance. And I wouldn’t change a single thing. It was all part of God’s plan and everything worked out exactly the way it was meant to, and I am the happiest I’ve ever been. I can't wait to marry her! Morgan and I have known each other for almost twenty years. We both grew up in the same county and took hitting lessons from the same softball facility – I remember her two younger sisters from helping with their lessons (more than her) if I am honest :) We both played softball at Mississippi State, but four years apart so our paths did not cross on the field. After Morgan graduated and I moved back to Georgia we became good friends, both hanging out in the same friend group. When we were at a Mississippi State vs UGA football party in 2020 I remembered starting to view Morgan in a different way. When I let her know of my interest, she quickly let me know it was NOT happening and we both carried on completely normal as friends for the next couple years. In 2023, Morgan finally saw the light and started to see me differently. I wish she had realized it sooner, but I wouldn’t change anything about our story and how it has played out. She was worth the wait.
