Jacob thought up every detail! A week before, he told me he wanted to pay for me to get my nails done for our anniversary. He worked everything out to make it appear as though his cousin, Ethan and his wife Emma were the ones inviting us to tag along while they went to Miracle on Big Rock in St Croix Falls. On Friday, he let me know what he planned to wear so we could match, stating he knew I always like to get photos. I made a joke to my coworker that I was simply planning to dress warm in a long coat and winter boots! 😅 Once we got there, we walked around with his cousins who came, and were simply enjoying the view and the food. Emma was telling us how getting photos in front of the moon was the highlight for her, and thankfully the line wasn’t terribly long. When it came to our turn, I was about to tell Jake that I wasn’t sure how to best pose. But before I could, he kissed me and then said, “You know I love you, right? I talked with your dad and your brother; I got permission from your kids” (and he may have said something else here, but I was stuck on how sweet it was that he asked the kids, too 🥹), and he got down on one knee, and pulled out the ring!! I said yes, BEFORE realizing he hadn’t actually asked yet. Haha, so then I said it again after he asked, “Will you marry me?” To top it all off, he planned this on a night that there were fireworks scheduled to go off, so we stood and watched the fireworks right after as well. 🥰
