As soon as possible! Disney cruises get booked to full FAST, so it is recommended that you book as soon as you are able! You will be required to pay a deposit equal to 20% of the total cruise price at the time of booking, if you book before Sept. 15th. If you book after Sept. 15th, you will be required to pay for the cruise in full at the time of booking. Please remember: when you have booked your cruise, please give us your cruise information including your reservation number and the full name of the guest the cruise is booked under. Any other questions about the booking process, please let us know!
Day 1 - Port Canaveral, FL Day 2 - Nassau, Bahamas (our wedding day!) Day 3 - Castaway Cay (Disney's private island!) Day 4 - Port Canaveral, FL
The cruise port is located in Port Canaveral, FL, on the Atlantic coast. It is about one and a half hours from the Orlando International Airport (MCO). Please refer to the Map provided on our Travel page for more detailed information, or the Cruise Info page for info on how to get from the airport to the port.
No, you are not required to rent a car. Disney Cruise Line offers ground transportation (a bus) from the airport on the day of embarkation and to the airport on the day of debarkation. This can be arranged with your CVP while booking your cruise, or by calling the number listed on our Cruise Info page. Other options for getting to the cruise port include Lyft/Uber or hiring a driver through a private company. Of course, you can rent a car if you wish. Keep in mind that we are hosting a Welcome Dinner the night before embarkation (Thurs., Dec. 14th) and a Thank You Brunch directly after debarkation (Mon., Dec. 18th). We'd love for you to attend both of these events, if at all possible! See the Schedule tab for more detailed information.
It is recommended that you bring (or get) a passport for the cruise as your form of government identification. However, if you are a US Citizen born in the USA, you do not require a passport, because the cruise is roundtrip to/from a US port. You will, however, need to bring an official birth certificate (not a copy) and a valid US drivers' license.
The wedding (ceremony + reception) is BLACK TIE FORMAL. This means men wear tuxedos (or at least 2- or 3-piece suits), with a white shirt and a bowtie/tie. For the ladies, this means a long formal gown - have fun with it! Dress it up with jewels and accessories! If you don't own a long formal gown, you can go to www.renttherunway.com and find a dress under their "Black Tie" section. Floor length is preferred in keeping with our elegant theme.
