We met at a mental hospital… I was his patient… Just kidding!!! When I was nursing school, I had my mental health rotation at NDI. Caleb was a patient care tech at NDI at the time. I was working on my nursing care plan when I saw Caleb come over (for the first time). He said “do you want me to turn off the tv?” He later told me it took him 10 minutes to come up with that. He came over another five times (a guess) asking the SAME question each time. We became best friends afterwards, then started dating in November. Now, we’re here. :)

We went to the zoo (after I switched the date we were originally supposed to go) to see the first artificially inseminated elephant (the elephant ended up not even being out because it was 15°). On one of our first dates, we went to a dolphin show and met the dolphins, it was super cool. When we went to the zoo this time, obviously we had to see the dolphin show again. This time, we met the dolphins, but it was just us. We got to do tricks with them and give them hugs! The dolphin trainer asked if we wanted to feed them, to which I obviously said yes. In the cooler was a note that said, “turn around- from Mr. Dolphin”. When I turned around, Caleb was on one knee. Earlier in the day, I was joking around with him saying, “wow this would be the perfect time to propose”. I was not expecting a thing when it actually happened.
