Where to Stay
The entire wedding day will be hosted at the Ritz-Carlton Penha Longa Resort and we would be delighted if all of our guests stayed there to celebrate the weekend with us! We have reserved a room block for our guests. The rate for a standard room is 235 euros a night with breakfast included. General International Travel Info
You do not need to apply for a visa to enter Portugal if you are traveling on a US passport. Upon landing in Portugal customs may ask you where you are staying so we suggest having the resort name and address handy upon arrival. We suggest you fly into Lisbon Airport (LIS) and take an Uber to the venue, the Ritz-Carlton Penha Longa Resort. It is not necessary to rent a car during your trip. The Uber from the airport to the resort is around 30 minutes/approximately 30 euros. We advise you NOT to take a taxi from the airport as many taxis will take you on a bad route that will increase the taxi fare. If you do not have an Uber account we suggest that you download the app and set up your account prior to arriving in Portugal as data rates will be expensive while you are traveling abroad. *remember to notify your credit card companies and banks that you will be traveling abroad * We will update this section with COVID procedures when they are available.
