Like any great modern love story, ours began with a Facebook message. It was 2012 and of course, she messaged first. I can confidently say that replying to that message was one of the best decisions of my life. We went on our first date to a movie, Man on a Ledge when we were 15! After meeting and graduating high school we went on to experience Texas Tech together. Here prom turned into formals, and our connection grew deeper. We also introduced the first member of our future family, a black lab named Brady. Since graduation Haley and I have had a chance to begin our professional careers but have always kept sight of the importance of our relationship and I am so thankful for that. We have also added one more to our family with our newest dog Bella. Now to share some of the small things about us. Haley and I love to exercise. Yes, because it is good for you, but mostly so we can afford to pig out on the weekends. Pizza, sushi, and French fries are our true passions. We also love to travel. We took a beautiful vacation to Europe last year where we toured wineries and distilleries of Ireland, enjoyed the romance of Paris, and explored the Cities of London on a Harry Potter Tour. The list of places we have been goes on and will only continue to grow as we do. Aside from her obvious beauty, Haley is extremely kind and could make friends with a wall. She shows every day through her affection with Brady and Bella how great of a Mother she will be. Last June, as she would say “I finally proposed”. After a steak dinner at one of our favorite restaurants, I asked Haley to stroll around the pond and get some ice cream with me. The way she tells the story I was nervous and sweaty, but personally I think I was in Bond mode. I brought her to the peak over the water and asked her to marry me. Friends and family came out cheering from hiding and celebrated the evening with us. I can’t wait to spend the rest of my life with her!!
