We first started dating Fall semester of our freshman year at Lehigh University, where we both played basketball. What started as a text to grab a milkshake to cure Pat’s writer block turned into an enduring relationship that has spanned 8 years, 4 states, and 2 stints of international basketball. Proud graduates of the “long distance relationship” club, we spent over 3.5 years counting down the days until our next visit. Our longest streak was 10 months across 6,000 miles while Pat played basketball in Tokyo, Japan and COVID kept Hannah from being able to visit. Our dream of being back in the same state was complete in January 2023 when Pat started graduate school in professional counseling at the University of St. Thomas in Minneapolis. In February 2024, Pat proposed on a “walk” around Lake Harriett in Minneapolis. Hannah was adamant that she wasn’t interested in wearing anything but leggings and a sweatshirt, so it’s safe to say it was a surprise. Even more shocking was finding out that family and friends flew in for an engagement party! Days after our engagement, we jetted off to Tokyo so Hannah could finally see Pat’s old stomping grounds (with an added bonus for Hannah of seeing The Eras Tour ◡̈). Throughout our relationship we have loved spending quality time with family in our favorite places: up north Minnesota in Park Rapids and Alexandria, Mohonk Mountain House, and the Jersey shore (with a Rook coffee in hand). We are immensely proud of our titles as Uncle Pat and Aunt Hannah and can’t wait for our 8 Andree nieces and nephews to steal the show on June 21st! We are blessed beyond measure to have found companionship in each other and could not be more excited to gather all our loved ones to celebrate our marriage! Thank you all for the part you have played in our story thus far, and for showing up for this new chapter; it’s going to be the best yet ❤︎
