We met while working together at Blackstone & Black Bear Country Clubs. We started off as colleagues, which casually grew into a friendship, and 6 years later we decided to give it a chance. For those who are "The Office," fans, we joke that we were the "Jim & Pam" of the office. He was the service director and I was the office manager, and the rest is history.
Growing up, one of Mikaela's favorite places has always been Estes Park, CO. Home of beautiful mountain views, autumn's Elkfest Festival, and of course the famous Stanley Hotel. Michael planned to have both our families come out and have lunch and enjoy Elkfest in October of 2020; however, COVID-19 cancelled those plans. We decided to go up anyway and meet some family for lunch at the Stanley Hotel. PSA: Mikaela is slightly scared of all things spooky and ghostly. Michael had planted Mikaela at the backside of the hotel, by the waterfall, and went inside where the whole family was waiting as a surprise (not everyone was supposed to come up to Estes that day) knowing very well that Mikaela would not enter the Stanley Hotel by herself. He came back out and asked her to take a selfie-video and watch for the ghost children who, "had been reportedly playing by the restaurant & waterfall lately." Instead of discovering ghost children, the entire family emerged from the doors and Mikaela was shocked, turned to greet everyone, and when she turned back around, Michael was on one knee. *Ask to see the videos - they are priceless.
Surrounded by our family & friends - we are so excited to celebrate with you! See you in Castle Rock, CO!
