Our story began in Washington, DC. Although we were part of the same circles at Marquette, we had never really spoken or knew much about each other - except that we both believed Murph's > Caff's. During her senior year, Lauren became instant besties with Kelli Poorten, who just so happened to be a very close friend of Will's. Flash forward three years and Will was living in Washington, DC while attending graduate school. Lauren and Kelli were visiting Kelli's siblings at Georgetown. Will was never one to miss out on fun so paid $100 to have a friend cover his shift so he could spend all day with the girls. Talk about an amazing ROI. That night, after a night on the town, Kelli and Katie were being Kelli and Katie... which meant Will and Lauren went off to do their own thing. Will asked if Lauren had ever been to the monuments, grabbed a backpack full of beers, and went off to show her the city's attractions during an all night adventure. The rest is history.

Kezar Lake has a special place in both of our hearts. In July 2019, Will invited Lauren's entire family out to visit Maine for the first time. Lauren had visited "The Island" every year since they started dating, but this was sure to be the best visit yet. After dinner, Will took Lauren out for a quick sunset cruise on the pontoon boat... and they returned with a ring! This kicked off a weeklong celebration with surprise visitors, boat rides, and plenty of sun. Lauren even got in the water (barely).
