Obligatory cheese curd stop. These have Lauren's vote for the best in town. Try a bloody mary to wash them down, and don't forget to grab some popcorn at the bar.
Did you even go to Chippewa Falls without stopping at Olson's? Lauren's go-to is Chocolate Monster in a dish. Neil usually reaches for the Raspberry Cheesecake in a waffle cone. Fun fact: Olson's was Lauren's first job.
Tigers, bobcats, and bears, oh my (yes, really)! Stroll through Irvine Park and check out over 300 acres of walking trails, a zoo, waterfalls, picnic areas, and playgrounds. Some of our favorite childhood memories involved driving through Irvine with our ice cream from Olson's in tow.
Snag a cocktail and take in the view of the Chippewa River on their rooftop patio. We usually order a Bloody Mary with Jalapeno Habanero vodka (can you tell there's a theme here?), but the options are endless!
Need some caffeine to fuel up before the big day? We had our "unofficial" first date here, and the jury is still out on who talked the most. ;)
Wisconsin supper clubs aren't just restaurants, they're a lifestyle. Staples include a Wisconsin Old Fashioned, Friday night fish fry, prime rib, and the soup and salad bar.
Chippewa Falls' claim to fame. Tours of the 155 year-old brewery run daily. History not your thing? Grab a tasting at the Lodge and shop for some fun merch!
Kayaking, canoeing, or floating down the Chippewa River is an ideal way to spend a summer day in the Midwest. Float time is dependent on water flowage, but plan to spend at least 2.5-3 hours on the river. BYOBAS (bring your own booze AND sunscreen)!
