Well it depends what vibe you're after. Catania (nearest to airport + biggest city) - 1 hour drive to venue Costal towns of Siracusa / Ortigia (traditional italian town with lots of cafes, restaurants + places to stay) - 10 mins drive to venue Fontane Bianche (beach resort, but not lots to do there) - 20 min drive to venue *There are no hotels within walking distance of the venue, but only 10 mins in a cab from siracusa/ortigia)
We would recommend hiring a car if you're not staying in Ortigia / Siracusa, as there are lots of lovely places to visit. If you'd prefer not, there is a direct train from Catania Fontanarossa to Siracusa - easy to book via trainline also. But I would check train times first.
We're getting married just out of season (season starts May 1st) - we'd recommend bringing something to cover the shoulders. Day time (should) be around 20/22.
