Her Story

I remember seeing Hamza in high school; this popular, multi-sports athlete. As a quiet, shy, fifteen year old, I never would’ve thought I'd even be friends with the popular guy in school. Thirteen years later, he’s my husband to be! It all started when I commented on a post in his DM, thinking he was funny (emphasis on the was). As time went by, we got to know each other more and became closer. The more I got to know Hamza, the more I realized he was everything I was looking for and prayed for in a partner. Although he probably thinks that it’s his humor that made me fall for him, it was actually his kind and caring heart that did it for me. Because he’s not really that funny 🙃. I am so grateful and blessed to spend the rest of my life with such an amazing person.

His Story

The first time I saw and met Heba in person she was working as a cashier/receptionist at Red Line Pizza in Southie - which also happened to be her dads restaurant. We were just friends at the time but I was already trying to use every reason in the book to finally meet her..which is why I offered to bring her some empanadas- I knew she wouldn’t say no to that. You would have to be a dummy to say no to empanadas! So I knew her answer would either make or break our friendship. She had no idea I was exhausted from being at practice at 8am that day and had to be up at 6am the next day for a track meet, but I still waited until 10pm to see her. It was definitely worth it because I figured she deserved to get out of my DMs and meet @hum_azing in person after months of flirting and sliding in each other’s DMs. I’m not going to lie though, I was definitely intimidated at the time because she previously told me that her dad, uncle, and brother all worked at the restaurant so I didn’t know if I was going to get greeted with a handshake & hello or get jumped in the parking lot by a bunch of Egyptians 😅. Fast forward two years later; this sucker actually said yes to spending the rest of her life with me. And now, we get to celebrate the start of the rest of our lives with people like you, who we couldn’t imagine living and celebrating without.
