FAQs

Question

What should I wear?

Answer

Welcome Party: The dress code is dressy casual. For women, sundresses, skirts, jumpsuits, or a dressy top are perfect. Men can go with a polo or button-down and slacks or chinos. Ceremony: Feel free to wear the same outfit you plan to wear to the reception, or anything you’d feel comfortable wearing to a Catholic church — dressy, with shoulders preferably covered. Reception: Formal attire requested. Long gowns or elegant midi dresses are perfect, and men should plan to wear a suit with a tie.

Question

How do we get to the welcome party/ceremony from Omni Parker House?

Answer

Transportation is very easy from Omni Parker House! You can get to both the welcome party and the ceremony by taking the Green Line from Park Street Station, which is about a 3-minute walk from the hotel and right next to Boston Common. Welcome Party: Take any Green Line train going *east* — labeled either D toward Union Square or E toward Medford/Tufts — and get off at North Station. Ceremony: Take any Green Line train going *west* — B toward Boston College, C toward Cleveland Circle, D toward Riverside, or E toward Heath Street — and get off at Hynes Convention Center.

Question

Is there a gap between the ceremony and reception?

Answer

Yes, there is! We’ll be embracing the time-honored Catholic gap between approximately 2:00pm, when the ceremony ends, and 5:00pm, when the reception begins. Please feel free to use this time to refresh, rest, or explore the beautiful areas of Boston around St. Cecilia Parish and the Omni Parker House. Be sure to check out the “Things to Do” tab for some ideas on fun ways to make the most of your afternoon in the city.

Question

Are children invited?

Answer

Due to venue capacity, we are only able to accommodate the guests formally named on your wedding envelope. We hope this allows moms and dads to enjoy a fun night off with us!
