We met during our senior year of college at an outdoor Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. probate in Norfolk, VA. It was an uncomfortably cold evening, and Heaven was ready to go back to her campus. Travis happened to be standing right in front of Heaven and her sorority sisters, blocking their view of the show. One of Heaven’s sisters tapped him on the shoulder and politely asked him to move. When Travis turned around, he locked eyes with Heaven. Throughout the rest of the show, Travis kept turning around to chat with her. Heaven thought he was cute—and couldn’t help but laugh at how bold he was, flirting with her right in front of all her sorority sisters, who were definitely watching and snickering. As the show ended and everyone started to leave, Heaven said, “It was great to meet you,” and turned to walk away. But Travis called after her and asked for her Instagram. From that moment on, they stayed in touch and got to know each other better. On April 10, 2022, they officially started dating, marking the beginning of a love story they never expected would lead to forever.
