Heaven and Alex met over 10 years ago at Purdue University while they were both studying Hospitality and Tourism Management. During her last semester, Heaven sat down next to Alex in class - the first of what ended up being three back to back classes together. His Vampire Weekend t-shirt caught her attention, and they found they had a shared taste in music. Alex helped Heaven with her homework, and she did nothing to hide the crush she had on him. After graduation and moving to opposite sides of the country, they kept in touch over social media, never going more than a month without a message or text to each other. In 2019 they reconnected at Austin City Limits music festival, 4 years since they had last seen each other. In 2020 as their lives were both changing, they decided to take a leap - Heaven bought a $40 flight to Baltimore in the middle of the pandemic, and after that, they knew it was truly something special. After dating long distance, they moved in together in the Spring of 2021. In 2022 they welcomed Milton as part of their family, and in 2024 they bought their first home together. That November, on the foggiest day San Diego has ever seen, Alex got down on one knee and asked for forever.
