we met at our work place of food lion. I had just started working there at the beginning of July in the deli and one of the things we have to do is go get chickens from the market cooler because that's where they are kept. Went in to get a few boxes (mind you they are big boxes) and Justin walks in and like he does with everyone asked if I needed help.. we started off like friends I would go get the chickens and would always end up standing back there for 5-10 minutes talking to him or he would bring stuff up that had gotten "left" back there just so we could talk. Talking to him everyday for almost 2 months was great he was a great friend. :) now he's the love of my life 💕

First things first.. I PROPOSED!! I had it all planned out, I booked the flights, hotel, and a few fun events.. we were going to Vegas for his birthday/ Christmas Vacation.. anyway I asked his mom, we picked out his ring and I had planned on going to the grand canyon on his birthday. That's where I was going to do it. His mom held on to his ring until we got to the airport when she dropped us off she handed it off to me. I had put it in my pocket to keep it close so he didn't find it. going through security and the metal detectors and everything I had slipped it into our carry on and left it until we got back to our hotel. We get to our hotel and to our room settling in Justin asks where his phone charger was and I told him. not listening to me he starts digging through the carry on and finds it. so that was it he had found his ring okay we'll find I'll just give it to him there.. little did I know he had planned on doing the same thing and had brought a ring too. At first I tried playing it off as a birthday present and he couldn't have it til then and then he pulled out my ring and said well let's just trade then.. ☺️ we traded rings and I sat down a few moments go by and then a turned to Justin and asked," so does this mean we're engaged?" shocked he said I guess. then I proceeded to tell him what the ring was actually for.. :) and that's it.. that's how we came to be engaged. it wasn't me asking in front of the canyon on his birthday but it was perfectly imperfect just like us and I couldn't ask for it to have happened a better way.
