David proposed to Paige during a weekend beach trip to the Outer Banks. David took Paige "shelling" on Okracoke Island, and after waiting just long enough for Paige to start shivering in the cold rain with a pocket full of shells, he showed her a shell he found with a ring tucked inside. Paige thought David chose to go to Okracoke because it was one of the best shelling beaches in North Carolina. However, he chose it because it is also the same place where his father proposed to his mother. She said yes before he could finish asking the question, and the shells decorate a picture frame that sits in their home.
Paige and David will be married in an intimate ceremony on the shore of the beach in Whitehouse, Jamaica. The date, March 28, was chosen because it is the anniversary of the date Paige and David began dating.
Because we will not be able to celebrate with all of our loved ones on the date of our wedding, we will be throwing a party before we leave. We will be serving BBQ, desserts, and we will have yard games for everyone to enjoy. Please keep an eye on your mailbox for information on the time and place. We hope to see y'all there!
