Jordan and I met online in early September of 2022. After talking for awhile via text, we decided to meet for dinner in person for the first time. It was at that dinner that Jordan and I knew something was different about the other. We stayed at the restaurant until it closed and went to get coffee after dinner to continue our conversation and ended up sitting and talking for hours that evening. While we enjoyed our time together that night, we were still both a little unsure and cautious. The more we prayed and asked the Lord for clear direction in this new relationship, the more we knew we wanted to see each other again. A few days later we decided to go on an official first date and met up for dinner at a Thai restaurant. I asked Jordan a lot of hard questions and was basically vetting him to see if he really was as amazing as he was showing up to be. Jordan passed the vetting process and that night we shared our first kiss. We dated for a year and 3 months with lots of challenges, sickness and a ruptured Achilles for Jordan, but even more laughs, fun times and adventures together. On Christmas Eve 2023, we were enjoying lunch together and exchanging Christmas gifts when I opened an ornament from Jordan that read, "The best is yet to come - Engaged 2023". I looked at Jordan with tears in my eyes and said, "what??". Jordan got down on one knee and asked me to marry him, in which I obviously said yes! Jordan and I are overjoyed that The Lord has led us to spend the rest of our lives together. We ask for our friends and family to pray over us and our marriage as we begin this exciting journey together.
