Heather grew up in Linwood, MN graduating from Forest Lake High School. She continued her schooling at University of Wisconsin- River Falls with a degree in Elementary Education and Early Childhood. She has taught preschool, kindergarten online, first grade, and now early childhood special education. She knew Isaac was “the one” when he started sharing about how proud he is to be an Uncle. The day she knew she was in love was in June, when Isaac joined Heather with her nanny kiddos and some of their friends. One kiddo wanted to keep up with the “big boys” and Isaac carried him across the river to catch up to them. She thought “oh crap, he’s gonna make the best dad ever, and man I love him!”

Matron of Honor
Sarah and Heather have been friends for over 5 years. They were introduced by a mutual friend when Sarah needed a babysitter for her oldest son Virgil. Sarah shared that she was pregnant with twins at the time! Heather responded by saying “oh I’d totally watch twins!” Then Sarah said “Be careful or I’ll hold you to that!”… and the rest is history! Sarah juggles so much with grace and a smile! She has thrived in her role as a business owner and pushes herself to take the business to the next level every year. At one point in her kids’ lives Sarah would share “Heather is the only person that she trusts to care for her 3 kids”. Nannying for her family is such a rewarding gift as Sarah never ceases to express her gratitude and appreciation for Heather. That’s why Sarah doesn’t like to introduce Heather as “the nanny” because she says “you are just so much more to us! Thank you for always asking me for problem solving and parenting advice, you make my knowledge feel so valued! Love you so much!
Best Man
Andrew and Isaac met through a mutual friend. They started playing videogames together online and realized they had the same humor. From there the friendship grew strong. Isaac and Andrew like to hike, and used to find hiking spots each week. Most recently they traveled to Arizona to explore new terrain. Andrew left Isaac in the dust to be eaten by snakes…
Maid of Honor
Katelyn and Heather met at college at UW- River Falls. They were placed in the same floor of Parker Hall. Heather noticed Katelyn’s coach shoes walking up the stairs to the 4th floor one day, and then they chatted, became friends, and eventually apartment roommates! As a fellow teacher Katelyn has been an amazingly supportive friend during Heather’s teaching career. As a fellow people pleaser, while Heather is trying to make sure everyone is taken care of, Katelyn is the one to take care of Heather. Katelyn is extremely determined, holds a high standard for those she surrounds herself with, never stops learning, and isn’t afraid to challenge herself in her career. Thank you for ALWAYS having a listening ear, being willing to be late to everything with me, not being afraid to make a Starbucks stop, and giving the best hugs! Every short girl needs a tall best friend! Xoxo

Tosin and Isaac met at work. Hard work and humor brought them together. The crazy nights valeting in downtown Minneapolis made them become great friends. Isaac and Tosin had so much fun working together that they decided to be roommates. One of Isaac’s favorite memories as roommates was when Tosin pretended to shoot Isaac with an airsoft gun casing Isaac to drop to the floor.

Kassi and Heather have been friends for 29 years! Kassi grew up a few streets away from Heather and her mother Kim provided home daycare services for the Jacobson siblings. Kassi and Heather have been like sisters since being preschoolers. Endless amounts of sleepovers, matching outfits, going to the cabin with Kassi’s grandparents, flying to visit multiple times a year when they moved to Arizona… too many inside jokes to mention! Kassi and Heather have been there for one another through good times and bad. Nothing can tear their friendship apart! Kassi thank you so much for sharing your family with me and having your family members treat me as if I was their own. I’ve always dreamt of being a big sister, and you helped make that dream feel like a reality. Now you’ve done way too much living, life, & learning and you’re giving ME the advice! Love you CW!

Gospel and Isaac met at work. Sharing the same faith brought them together. One of Isaac’s favorite memories was helping Gospel prepare for his citizenship test. Isaac met Jordan working valet at the City Center. Working valet together created a brotherhood. We would work hard, and play harder. Based on how much we brought in, we would head south to Mystic, where Jordan would tell us how to play blackjack. Jordan always won, Isaac not so much…
Bridesmaid
Alyssa and Heather met in college at UW- River Falls! Another lucky lady to be placed on the 4th floor of Parker Hall. Though Alyssa was an extremely busy student athlete in college, we still created an amazing bond which grew even stronger when we moved into an apartment together. 5 girls and 2 bathrooms in one apartment either brings you together or apart. Thankfully we had an amazing time creating memories, laughing all the time, and driving one another to class so we didn’t have to walk in the snow! Though life has thrown immense curveballs to Alyssa, she still keeps her head high, strives to help others however she can, and is an incredible mother!

Isaac met Torben when he was born, because he is Isaac’s nephew! Isaac can’t wait for the day he becomes a dad, so in the meantime he has invested a lot of time being a super uncle. Torben has a special bond with Isaac due to their mutual love of sports, especially baseball. Isaac makes it to every baseball game of Torben’s (Now with a seat for Heather next to him and holding Daisy’s leash). Every week you can find Torben with Isaac in matching Zubas watching the Packers play. They rarely miss a game! Since Torben is the oldest of all the nieces and nephews, he has the honor of standing up with Isaac on one of the biggest day’s of his uncle’s life!

Kaylee and Heather met while teaching first grade in the same school district. They instantly clicked and had so much fun being teammates! It was nice to have someone also in their 7th year of teaching. Kaylee is a go getter, and was great at pushing Heather to get involved in the local teacher’s union! She also encouraged and taught Heather about different ways to gain additional education, trainings, and benefits at work. Heather and Kaylee joked that they wished they had met each other one year earlier, so Heather could have attended Kaylee’s wedding! Kaylee became a mother in 2023, and her delivery was not as anticipated. Heather was able to help her little family with some groceries, baby items, and target runs while navigating NICU parenthood. Now Heather is lucky enough to be on the approved pickup list at Daycare and have date nights with her son William running to Target and out for dinner! You are an amazing role model and mother, never doubt how amazing you are!
