It was just the beginning of our month long trip out West. We'd spent the day in Golden and were taking the next few days to make our way up to Jackson, Wyoming. After asking a local in Silverthorne about good camping spots, we headed to Ute Pass. As we were driving along we kept catching glimpses of the beautiful Rockies, before the next bend would hide them from us again. Finally, I asked Zach to stop at a pull-off so I could get a nice long look. When parked there were some trees blocking our view, but we found a little path leading past the tree line that opened up to a stunning panorama. As soon as Zach saw the view he said he was going to go back to the truck and "get his sweatshirt." I didn't think much of it, until I heard him coming up behind me and turned to see him down on one knee! I can't imagine a more perfect place for a proposal, and apparently neither could he. We circled the exact place on the atlas so we can go back again some day.
