On December 3 of 2018, Ms. Heather Jones and her group of friends were serendipitously struck by lightning at Portland’s landmark karaoke venue, The Trap, when Mr. Xac Denton randomly joined the stage to crash their impromptu and legendary revision of ‘Africa’, by the musical group, Toto. “I’m just gonna be real honest right now; at the time, it seemed like a time traveler just up and came back from the future to add the missing ingredient to our 4-part harmony. The room literally lit up. That’s when I knew that this weirdo and Heather Jones should probably travel through time together,” said John Baxter. Shortly thereafter, the world entered a global pandemic that almost no-one remembers. During this time, Heather, Xac, and friends chose to spend the majority of their time in lockdown surrounded by almost no-one but each other, while the world slowly phased back toward normality. Eventually, the couple was faced with an existential quandary: Was it destiny that brought them together, or had their screenplay even been written yet? Almost three years later, Denton placed fate into his love’s hands and approached Jones on the same karaoke stage where they first met, and with singer-songwriter, Tom Delonge as his wingman, asked if the two could “make this last forever.” “Without the excellent adventures of Heather, Xac, and their makeshift time vehicle, our world might never have survived the eventuality of late-stage capitalism, the phenomenon of Forklift Simulator, nor any number of intellectual threats facing our sacred democracy." These days, Heather can be found slicing and sampling craft cheeses to those in need – which is to say, everyone who is alive. Similarly, Xac has found success in making jokes about craft breweries, artisanal pizzas, and wedding websites, while passing them off as online advertising and news articles from the past and/or future. In October 26 of 2025, the two are planning a celebration of epic proportions, where their passions toward timeless cheeses and future-focused beer recipes will intersect exactly 40 YEARS after the world’s greatest experiment in the history of Spielbergian production — when on October 26 of 1985, both Good-Boy, Einstein Brown became the world’s first time traveller, and The Goonies discovered the true meaning of friendship on the shore of Astoria, Oregon — and you’re invited!
