If you are coming in from out of town there are many airport options. LAX and BUR are about a 2.5 hour drive. ONT is about a 1.5 hour drive and PSP is about a 30 minute drive. You will want to rent a vehicle to be able to get around and explore. If you are driving from the LA area we would suggest against taking the 10 over the 60 freeway as it's a much safer route.
There are a few hotels in the area and many Airbnb and Plum Guide rentals. We suggest booking your accommodations as soon as you can as Joshua Tree is a highly sought after area.
