Question

Is there still a ceremony/vows since you eloped?

Answer

YES! We decided to elope for numerous reasons, but mainly because we wanted our anniversary to be December 31st, and that's a hard day to have a big wedding on with the current state of the world - so we're making our cake and eating it too. We had our special day, now July will be all about what's really important, partying with our guests! We will have full wedding parties, ceremony, music, vows, dinner, speeches, and photographers! The legality of it all is just already taken care of.

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

No! It is approximately an hour Northwest of Grand Forks in the middle of the woods. It is completely off-grid and camping is heavily encouraged.

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

The earlier the better so we can keep planning for you to make this the best party ever. Please RSVP by June 1st at the latest.

Question

Do I need to reserve a camp spot?

Answer

It is a big open field with no buildings. We will make designated "parking", "partying", and "camping" areas, but there is nothing to pre-book or reserve.

Can I bring my dog(s)?

Answer

We would like to make this as pet friendly as possible, but please play it safe and come prepared with everything you will need for your pet. Please also be weather cognizant and if it will be appropriate to bring your pet to an area with no air conditioning. There will be small children, dogs off leash, and the possibility of wild animals, there is also a river running through the property that is relatively shallow, but can be quick moving. Please let us know ahead of time if you are bringing pets.

Are you registered? Where?

Answer

We have a "Dream Home Fund" set up with MyRegistry.com which can be found under the registry tab. Any contributions will go towards buying property and building our home in the Kootenays. There is also a virtual guestbook associated with the registry where you can leave us a message or record a video for us! No gifts are expected or required. <3
