Question

Why did you change the wedding venue?

Answer

The Oregon Fire up in Elk started on Friday 8/18. Our property reached level 3 evacuation around 9pm that evening. Tre worked really hard to get the pigs to safety (he was successful) and move as many things as possible to our good fiends Matt and Amber’s. Thank you to Matt and his Dad for helping. They worked until about 12:30am when the sherif told them they needed to get out of there. As of today 8/26 our current evacuation level is at 2. Residents are allowed to return to their properties but the roads are still technically closed. The fire has consumed approximately 11,000 acres and is 33% contained. There are many downed power lines and trees in the area as well as burned trees that are standing despite fire damage to the roots of the trees. Clean up in the area will be an on-going task which will likely take several months. Many of our neighbors lost everything. We are so grateful to the firefighters that saved our property and the homes of our immediate neighbors. We have a picture of them coming up Enoch drive where they spent days holding the fire lines and putting in fire lines on our property to keep us safe. They succeeded! Tre and I are so blessed to still have our property. With all that said we felt for the safety of our guests it would be best to find a new location. Don’t worry - we’ll throw a fire fighter appreciation party in the spring up at the property and you’ll all be invited!

Question

Why do I need to RSVP again?

Answer

I know it’s annoying but….we need to make sure everyone knows that the location changed and confirm that those that said yes are still attending. Thank you!

Question

Where is the new location?

Answer

New location is the Five Mile Prairie Grange at 3024 W Strong Rd. Great parking, indoor/outdoor spaces, we still get a taco bar, lawn games and we can still have wine and beer.

Question

Will there be food?

Answer

Yes! We will have delicious food from De Leon’s and a well stocked dessert table.

Question

What should I wear?

Answer

Anything you’re comfortable in. Come in anything from jeans to a fancy dress depending on who you are and what you like. We are so honored and excited to celebrate with the people we love. Our colors are fall colors like cinnamon.
