This 3.5 mile walk provides gorgeous views of the water while also showing off some of the beautiful Newport Mansions, including the Breakers!
Bowens Wharf Seafood Festival
Historic Bowen’s Wharf in downtown Newport, RI, will host their annual Seafood Festival on Saturday, October 15th and Sunday, October 16th. Named one of the “10 Fabulous Fall Festivals on the Coast,” by Coastal Living Magazine, this event is an open invitation for all and an excuse to eat some chowdah!
Newport Vineyards
Situated on over 100-acres of historically preserved farmland, Newport Vineyards prides itself on the marriage of locally-sourced food with estate-grown wines and fresh locally made beer. Spend an afternoon wine tasting, enjoy fresh craft beer and lunch at Taproot Brewing Co., or enjoy dinner at Brix Restaurant for 100% from-scratch cooking.
Fort Adams State Park
Situated at the mouth of the Newport Harbor, Fort Adams State Park offers an exceptional panoramic view of both Newport Harbor and the East Passage of Narragansett Bay.
Newport Mansions Preservation Society
During the day there are multiple mansions for you to tour including the Breakers, the Elms, the Marble House, and Rosecliff (the one we toured on our very first trip to Newport together!)
The Black Pearl
Sean loves the clam chowder here and we always stop every time we are in Newport! Sit down at the outside patio or cozy up at the bar inside.
The Mooring Seafood Kitchen and Bar
We love this restaurant for the both the food and the beautiful views of the harbor.
Midtown Oyster Bar
Our first meal in Newport was at Midtown Oyster. We are obsessed with the raw bar and the late night live music!
