My good friend, Maisy, had recently had a bad breakup. A group of we females were discussing it on Facebook. I had divorced my husband in November, so I had absolutely zero interest in men. Scott commented on the conversation that "there were good men left." He then privately messaged me his phone number and said to call him some time. I rolled my eyes at the message as I had so many male friends of friends attempt contact in the past. I had stopped believing in love by this point. I happened to take a look at his profile and thought, "Oh dang, he's hot!" I said to myself, "Okay, I'll message him back and see what he's about." On our first date, he met me for lunch at the cleaners and we took my Mazda RX8 to the restaurant as he was in his concrete mixer truck for work. We both barely ate at the restaurant, but talked quite a bit. He admitted that he was pretty nervous. I was, too. We were both giddy in each other's presence throughout the date. His eyes sparkled when he looked into mine. I had just taken my RX8 out of the mechanic shop and did not realize that I needed new windshield wipers. In the pouring rain, we could barely see on the way back to the cleaners. Scott was probably praying for his life as I was the one driving, haha. So, when we were back at the cleaners, he said he'd be back in a minute. I said, "Okay...," wondering what the heck he was talking about. This crazy man bought me new windshield wipers and then put them on my vehicle in the pouring rain. I'm talking big, ole fat rain. He was drenched. I thought to myself, "Either this guy is super desperate, or he really likes me." It turned out that he really liked me as on our second date he asked if I'd ever remarry or have more children. I told him that for the right man, I certainly would do both. Well, I had met that good man and the rest is history....
