Hi, my name is Cesar Moretti and I'm Rhett's favorite uncle. He also made me an uncle for the first time. From the day Rhett was born and came home, he brought joy and happiness. I fondly remember Rhett's early years, his classes at the early stimulation center where they raised him to be such a well-behaved boy, his swimming lessons that helped him get ready to go to the beach and ride the waves—he was quite the star! He also used to come with me to try and pick up girls, and he would end up charming them. We were always on the go, going to the movies and then getting his Happy Meal at McDonald's. How time flies! Rhett is grown up and now we're making plans for his wedding. Congratulations, and I love you so much!

Hey hey! My name is Brooke Barger! I'm an Alabama native who has relocated to Tallahassee for graduate school. I am currently working on my masters in English with a focus in medieval literature. I love Jesus, crocheting, reading, and classic rock. I met Heather my first Sunday at FBC. She continued to reach out, and we became part of a prayer group together. Heather is such a sweet and dear friend of mine. We tend to sit for hours just talking about life and biblical topics. We both have a heart for missions. I am so thankful for Heather and truly blessed for God to have put her in my life as one of my best friends!

My name is Alexis and I'm from good ole South Carolina. I met Heather our first day of freshman year at CSU in bridge English (over 10 years ago 🫣😱) We sat right beside each other and man how things worked out. Took a little while and some convincing from Heather for me not to hide in my dorm room and so glad she did! So many memories from CSU and even when she moved to a different state our friendship still stands. God definitely put her in my life and I'm so thankful he did. She's my bestie for the restie! Oh, and I guess about me...give me the beach, anywhere outdoors really, and a nice book and I'll be set. P.S. You can ask any embarrassing stories of Heather, and I'll tell you.

We lived in the same building at Jr. Miguel Aljovin, since then, we made a lot of memories as a kids, playing Play station, soccer or other games, until he left to USA for start a new life with his family, since then, we didn’t miss any communication like best friend, practically Rhett is like another brother to us. Still making adventures together like in the old times.

I currently work in innovation management for advertising agencies, bringing together my background in Computer Science with the creativity and strategy of the advertising world. I love exploring new ideas, finding different ways to connect with people, and always adding a creative touch to everything I do. I’m excited to be here for Rhett and Heather on such an important day and to celebrate this new chapter with them.

Helloooo! My name is Sofia Sanchez. I graduated from the marketing program at FSU in 2024, where I am currently continuing my education in Computer Science. I met Heather years ago while in my freshman year of college and attending church for the first time in years. I was not of Christian faith at the time, but felt immediately welcomed at church regardless, specifically welcomed by Heather. Heather made a point of introducing herself to me my very first time attending Wednesday Bible study, and our friendship sprouted from that point. Heather was very involved with the college ministry and organized a number of activities and get-togethers for the college ministry to enjoy. Heather’s hospitality and work with the college ministry were part of what made me come back every week and hear more about God. Her kindness has been instrumental in my walk with God, and I look up to Heather’s kindness and faith in every respect. I am so happy to be part of this beautiful moment in Heather’s life and am incredibly excited for Heather to have someone just as wonderful to do life with!

Known each other for over 16 years. Met in Tallahassee, Florida. Became great friends from the start. Rhett took me in and taught me a lot as a was a kid who was brand new to the country from Peru. Knowing someone from back home made a difference and since then our friendship just grew and stayed strong. No matter the circumstances, even me moving away from place to place. We became family and even after long periods of times when we haven’t talked, when we do, it’s like nothing changed.

My name is Doreen Addo-Yobo, and I first met the couple when I joined First Baptist Church of Tallahassee (FBCTLH) after moving from Ghana to pursue my PhD at Florida State University. I became close, especially to Heather, through our Sunday Bible studies with the young professionals group and various church gatherings. My friendship with Heather deepened in 2024 when she invited me to a morning prayer group that felt more like a family gathering, and which still meets to this day. It was through Heather and at our Sunday bible studies that I also got to know more about Rhett, and I have always admired their thoughtful contributions to our Bible study discussions. I've been so inspired by Heather's genuine kindness and deep Christian faith. It's been a joy to see her and Rhett's maturity and thoughtful spirits shine in everything they do. I was especially impressed to learn of Rhett's passion for sign language at church, and I know he will make a wonderful translator for our church services. Their shared commitment to serving others is a beautiful testament to the strong foundation their marriage is built on. I'm incredibly honored to stand with them today and can't wait to see all the amazing things they'll accomplish together.

He’s been best friends with Rhett since childhood - their families were neighbors in Peru and have known each other for years. I'll never forget the day I met Rhett at The Basement College Minsitry in First Baptist Downtown Tallahassee. From there, we started a friendship that would last forever. We've shared countless memories - multiple road trips, running races, he was my designated driver for my 21st, VBS camps, working at the CLC, FCA events, and brotherly conversations. I will never forget Rhett convincing me to ride the thrill rides at Universal and face my fears. My most exciting moment that I can remember was when I found out that Rhett and Heather were dating and it made me so happy because I knew they were perfect for each other.

I met Heather and her sweet family many years ago when her dad became the preacher at the church that he is currently at now. When I first met Heather I knew from the start that Heather would be that great friend and person that I could always call on when I needed a friend to call or vent to. Over the years our friendship has grown. Know that she has moved to Tallahassee I don’t get to see her that often but when I do we pick up right where we left out. Heather and I have had many super dates right before she met Rhett and we would talk about how we both prayed daily for that right godly man to walk into our lives. Even though I am still praying daily for that right man to come into my life I know without a doubt that Heather has found her right godly man that she has prayed for. The first time Heather brought Rhett to St George I knew right then that Rhett was the right man for Heather that she had always prayed. I love their love for their church and their love for the Lord. I am so very happy for this sweet couple and can’t wait to continue watching their love grow for the Lord and share their special day with them.

I’m Carlos Baez. I’m from Colombia, but I grew up in Maine. I moved here in 2010, and I’m truly honored to be part of Rhett and Heather’s wedding. Thank you for inviting me and allowing me to be one of your groomsmen. Heather, I met you right around the time you started dating Rhett—maybe even at the very beginning. One of the first things we did together was go to one of Amelia’s wrestling matches. I remember Carmen turning to you and saying, “Welcome to the family” or “You’re part of the family”—something like that. And I told you, “That’s coming from your future mother-in-law.” You asked me, “How do you know?” and I just said, “I just do.” And I don’t think I was wrong, because here we are today. Rhett, I met you back in 2018 when I started working with your mom, and that’s how we connected. I have two fun stories about you. The first was right after I bought my house. I invited you over, but I forgot to lock the door. You snuck in and scared me half to death. The second story is when you asked me to be your groomsman. Your mom told me there was a letter addressed to me—it turned out to be a court summons for a complaint from a customer. It was written so convincingly that I believed it—until I noticed the court date was on a Saturday.

From deep conversations to inside jokes that probably weren’t very holy, we quickly became great friends. I’m currently in the Air Force, and when I’m not serving, you’ll usually find me gaming or working on cars. Rhett has always been someone I could count on for laughs, support, and a well-timed meme. I’m so excited to celebrate this next chapter with him — fully prepared to cry, laugh, and maybe dance a little too hard… maybe not so much the dance part.
