Eugene and I met when we were teenagers in Germany. We spent a little over 2 years there, but it seemed like a lifetime. Eugene called himself Morris, as in “Morris Day” from Purple Rain and he dressed just like him. When my friend Michael, introduced us at the time…my thoughts were, look at this guy he looks ridiculous in his purple high-water pants, with pink socks! Little did I know then that he would become one of my best friends and teach me how to be a leader and not a follower in life! Ultimately what I got was a lifetime friend who I consider my brother!

Angel and I met when I returned from Germany when I was 19 years old. Angel’s nickname was Bear, I think it was because he was big, strong and hairy!
