Maid of Honor
Where would one even start to describe the many roles that Stacie plays in Heather’s life? Sister, roommate, boss, coworker, travel buddy, confidant, cheerleader, and most importantly, her best friend. Heather has spent her whole life looking up to Stacie, and so it’s no small thing that they've had the privilege of witnessing so much of life together. Through the ups and downs and everything in between, Stacie has stood as a rock and godly example to Heather, and she’s grateful to have her at her side as she heads into this new chapter of life.
Best Man
The unlikeliest and also the bestest of friends! Alex and Lyle met at Chorale Retreat in college. (For the full version of this funny and awkward story, just ask either Alex or Lyle.) Before graduating, they had the chance to do a choir tour of Israel, Switzerland, and France together. They even became roommates after college! Lyle can't imagine where his life would be without the constant encouragement and companionship that he's benefitted from with Alex over the years.
Bridesmaid
It can be said that Adelynn stretches Heather in more than one way: she challenges her spiritually, and also happens to be her yoga instructor! Heather has had the privilege of teaching all three of her kids, and through the years they have formed a very close friendship. Heather and Lyle are grateful to benefit from Adelynn and her husband’s wisdom and mentorship.
Groomsman
The only reason Lyle and Anthony are friends is because Lyle wouldn't leave poor Anthony alone. They also met in college, and have since become trusted friends and confidants. Oh, and they were roommates for over two years after college. They may not spend lots of time talking, but the love Anthony has shown Lyle over the years runs deep, and that bond is not easily broken.
Bridesmaid
Back in the day, when Heather was a hyper college Freshman, Audra and Heather were just dorm-mates and acquaintances. After a few years and a few trials, they bonded over boy drama while eating a whole carton of mango sorbet. And now they are kindred spirits. Some of their favorite memories include an epic road trip to Canada, a weekend in Newport Beach, and a memorable hot air balloon ride.
Groomsman
Lyle remembers the first time he saw Kevin. It was maybe a dozen years ago...at his church in New Hampshire...and Lyle thought "oh he seems cool I wanna be his friend." So that happened. And it's still happening! Despite the distance, these two have remained friends through so many exciting life changes.
Bridesmaid
Heather and Bekah first met in the village of Kubamitwe, Uganda. Bekah was teaching at a school there, and later started working alongside Heather at Legacy Christian Academy in Santa Clarita. They shared many laughs, cups of coffee, and soon became the sweetest of friends! Bekah also played an important role in styling Heather for her dates with Lyle, and has consistently cheered them on along the way.
Groomsman
Also a college friend and former roommate, Kyle and Lyle share more than just the same name (practically). They're both composers and crazy. It's impossible to not laugh around Kyle, and Lyle will never forget the many times they got to share together in life's little experiences, big and small.
Bridesmaid
Never did Heather and Laura think - when setting up their college dorm room as freshman - that they would have picked the same theme for their room décor. Their shared love for the beach would be one of many things they would bond over in the years to come. Their friendship deepened with late night talks, Disneyland trips, and many more adventures together around the world. Heather knew she always had a home away from home with Laura and her family!
Groomsman
Zach and Lyle met about 15 years ago at a church in New Hampshire. Years later, Zach took piano lessons from Lyle. Then, after Lyle graduated college, Zach decided to go to the same college. Lyle even had the honor of being in Zach's wedding last year, so basically they can't escape each other. Which is cool, because they don't want to.
Bridesmaid
It all started with a last-minute road trip. Melyndee hitched a ride with Heather to Laura Polte’s birthday party, and they went from being strangers to super close friends. They spent a semester rooming together while studying abroad in Israel (you should ask either of them about the goat story). Fast forward through countless laughs over the years, Melyndee played an instrumental role in helping Lyle pull off the most magical proposal in Yosemite!
Groomswoman
Lyle has known Mariah her whole life. They're cousins, and grew up together as best friends and best enemies. As a result, they practically know each other better than anyone else. Mariah is a crazy, committed, and caring friend, and has always been there for Lyle, literally through every stage of life. They promised each other years ago that they'd be in each other's weddings, which also serves to explain why there's some random girl standing alongside the groomsmen at the ceremony!
