The bars on Lower Broadway are the top attraction in Nashville for good reason. Walk down Broadway between Bridgestone Arena and the Cumberland River, and you'll see that Music City lives up to its name with an incredible level of musicianship spilling out of the windows of the Nashville Broadway bars. Some of our favorite bars include: Tootsie's, The Stage, Morgan Wallen's This Bar, and Acme Feed & Seed. Most bars on Broadway have food options.
The 12 South neighborhood is a 15 minute Uber/Lyft from downtown Nashville, and worth the trip. A half-mile stretch along 12th Avenue South (i.e. 12 South) has a vintage clothing store on one end, a gourmet restaurant on the other, and many unique Nashville businesses in between. One of the most walkable neighborhoods in Nashville, 12 South is a shopping and dining destination full of restaurants, coffee houses, bakeries, bars, and boutiques featuring local designers and makers. A few standout places in 12 South include Frothy Monkey (coffee shop), The Buttermilk Ranch (breakfast/brunch), Five Daughters Bakery (famous for its croissant donut - The Cronut), Jeni's Splendid Ice Cream, Bartaco (upscale street food) & Urban Grub (seafood). The famous "I Believe in Nashville" sign and Reese Witherspoon's Draper James clothing store are also located in this area.
The Parthenon stands proudly as the centerpiece of Centennial Park, Nashville's premier urban park. The re-creation of the 42-foot statue, Athena, is the focus of the Parthenon, just as it was in ancient Greece. The building and the Athena statue are both full-scale replicas of the Athenian originals. The Parthenon is located in Nashville's West End neighborhood (15 minute drive from Downtown). If you decide to check out the Parthenon, here are a few other local spots we would recommend: CoCo's Cafe (coffee shop), BrickTop's, J. Alexander's, Elliston Place Soda Shop (American restaurants), White Limozeen (rooftop bar), or Martin's BBQ.

Thornton Prince perfected the recipe for Hot Chicken and opened up a restaurant – Prince’s Hot Chicken Shack. Almost 100 years later, a lot had changed in Nashville, but not Prince’s. Prince’s great-niece, Ms. Andre Prince Jeffries, is still serving the legendary dish that Nashvillians crave. In the last few years, the hot chicken trend has caught on like wildfire throughout the South, but Prince’s Hot Chicken is the original and remains the gold standard for hot chicken.
The Pancake Pantry is a must-visit destination for Nashville natives and tourists.
