Getting to Santa Barbara AIR Santa Barbara is located about 95 miles north of Los Angeles. They have expanded the flights/ airlines that fly directly to the Santa Barbara airport (SBA). The next best option for air travel is to fly to the Los Angeles International airport (LAX), and either drive or take the train to Santa Barbara. DRIVE The drive to Santa Barbara takes about 2 to 2.5 hours, depending on traffic. In case you don't know, Los Angeles traffic is "special". Use Google Maps or Waze for directions. Rental cars are readily available at LAX. TRAIN Amtrak Pacific Surfliner runs from Union Station in downtown Los Angeles to downtown Santa Barbara. Note that Union Station is located about 20 miles from LAX and the travel time will depend on traffic. The train ride takes about 2.5 hours, and is a scenic trip. We will be staying at The Canary Hotel, located in downtown Santa Barbara near the ceremony/ reception venue. A block of rooms has been reserved for our wedding guests. Please reference the Needham/Wilson wedding to receive the discounted rate of $389/ night for a 2 night minimum (10/17/19 and 10/18/19). If you are planning to stay through Sunday, 10/21/19, the rate will increase to $439/ night. There are also numerous hotels in the downtown Santa Barbara area which are within walking distance to the wedding/ reception venue. The ocean is also close by if you want to be near the water. There are also many great options for home rentals in the Santa Barbara area, which you can check out at www.airbnb.com or www.vrbo.com

Parking/car services

If you are planning on having a car, there are several parking structures and street parking available in downtown Santa Barbara. There is also an abundance of Uber and Lyft.
