We met through the dating app, Bumble. We spoke over the phone for about a week. We decided to meet in person for our first date on March 27th, 2017. We went out for sushi at Taiko 360. Both of us were excited yet slightly nervous to meet. The first time we saw each other in person was from opposite sides of the street and, even from this distance we could tell this was something special. We had a wonderful evening. The conversation was easy and fun. Actually we were so caught up in conversation that we didn't realize we were the last ones in the restaurant. As we said goodnight to one another we already knew we wanted to see each other again and wasted no time in setting up our next date. Since that evening we have been inseparable and we wouldn't have it any other way.

John of course did an amazing job of planning a wonderful surprise. At our families annual pumpkin picking and wine tasting event. He helped to arrange for many of our family and friends to meet up at Clovis Point Winery, after a morning of pumpkin picking at Harbes Farms. Even though the weather was rainy at first, by the time we reached the winery the sun began to peak out and the skies began to clear. A little while after we arrived, John walked me down one of the beautiful rows of grape vines. In front of nearly everyone at the winery that day, he got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. After some tears of joy, I of course said YES! We are so excited for this next chapter in our lives.
