Blandford Nature Center
We've spent lots of time here with Bee. We love it so much we had our engagement photos taken here. We love to walk the trails and see Michigan's native plants and animals. We've been members here for a few years. $2 in-kind donation to visit the animal rehabilitation area and visitor center. Trails are free and donations are accepted to preserve the wildlife. Pro Tip - Go at sunset to see lots of deer. 14 minute drive from AC hotel.
House Rules Lounge
The go to Board Game bar in town. Library of board games that you can play. Food and drink available. This was also where we went for our second date and where John introduced Heather to the Hanabi card game. 15 minute walk from AC hotel
Max's South Seas Hideaway
We like this place for their exceptional tiki cocktails and relaxed atmosphere. Spend some time here and you might forget you're in Michigan. This is on the pricier end for Grand Rapids. 7 min walk from AC Hotel.
Lost Art Brewhouse
A local favorite food truck now grown into a restaurant brewhouse. We love their ice cream beers (just trust us) and burgers. Dog friendly patio is a plus for Bee. 13 minute drive from the AC hotel Near Blandford Nature Center

Frederik Meijer Gardens & Sculpture Park
Famous garden, art museum and sculpture park. We really enjoy the summer concert series at the amphitheater. We're planning to go to many shows this summer. Show Lineup Week of Wedding Australian Pink Floyd Show on July 31 - $70 War and Treaty with Grand Rapids Symphony on August 1 - $63 Train on August 3 (sold out - resale possible) - $115 and whatever the scalpers add on to that The Gardens are ticketed - $22 per adult 10 minute drive from AC hotel
Quarantino's
The place to go for Detroit style deep dish pizzas in Grand Rapids. They're almost as good as John's. The pickle cheesebread is so good that we ate it before we took the pic. 8 min drive from AC hotel
The Mitten Brewing Company
Great option for beer and pizza. Try a pizza flight and the 'peanuts and crackerjack' porter. 6 minute drive from AC hotel
Lake Michigan Beaches
Imagine an ocean, but without salt or sharks. Weather should be plenty warm enough for a day at the beach, if that's what you want to do. There are several county, state, and city parks located on the shores of Lake Michigan. Approximately 40 minutes by car or more
