Probably the most famous thing in Philadelphia. And yes, there is a crack in the bell. You can walk into the Liberty Bell building without a reservation, but if you want to do the Independence Hall tour you need to reserve a spot in advance.
The Philadelphia Museum of Art gets annoyed that people refer to the front entrance of their museum as the "Rocky Steps", but let's be honest, no trip to Philly is complete without running all the way up the stairs while humming the theme song from Rocky!
For those who haven't been to Philly in a while, a great newer museum that's all about the American Revolution. A must-do for those who love history. Give yourself at least a few hours here if you plan to visit.
Unique indoor food hall located underneath what used to be the main station for Reading Railroad (for all you Monopoly aficionados). Great for grabbing a sandwich or some dessert. Authentic Philly. Be prepared to wait in lines!
If you go to one art museum in Philadelphia, go to this one. Incredible collection of Renoir, Monet, etc -- second only to the Louvre.
Further up the river on the Schuylkill River trail, a string of picturesque boathouses from the 1800's that still serve as headquarters for all the various rowing clubs. Great walking/jogging path.
The local Philly coffee shop now has locations all over the country, but the roasting headquarters up in Fishtown is one-of-a-kind. The draft latte is our go-to.
We love to come here and flip through the books on our weekend walks. Located right near Rittenhouse Square, this is a fun place to pop into if you have time!
Unless you made reservations a year in advance, you unfortunately won't be able to get a table at the #1-rated restaurant in America, Zahav. But fear not, because you can stop by the owner's fast-casual location Dizengoff, and eat the exact same hummus and pita. Highly recommended!
Best antiquities museum in the country if Ancient Egypt, Greece, and Rome fascinate you as much as they do Joey :)
You can grab a coffee or drink from the lobby at the Four Seasons for views of Philly from 1,000 ft high (the hotel lobby is on the very top floor of the building)
We have many good memories from what used to be our local (and delicious) bagel shop
Locals will tell you that Pat's and Geno's are definitely not the best cheesesteaks in town, and are just for tourists. But, you're tourists :)
