During a Wednesday night service at our church, which happened to be a small group night, Heather noticed Holden and decided to introduce herself. Later that evening, Heather asked Holden for his phone number, which he gladly shared. Since then, Heather and Holden have been in touch and spending time together. One month later, on September 14, 2019, they officially became a couple after acknowledging their feelings for each other.
Our first kiss took place at Table Rock in September 2019, a special spot for both Heather and Holden. Holden had brought Heather back to Table Rock with his boys, intentionally leading her on a different trail to keep his proposal a surprise. During the hike, he reminisced about their memories together and talked about their future. When they reached the top, everyone paused to take photos. Holden suggested they take a picture of just the two of them, and as Heather posed, he suddenly dropped to one knee and asked her to marry him. I think we know the answer since there will be a wedding, haha!
Heather and Holden have been in a long distance relationship for 4 years, while Holden has been at West Point Military Academy. While Holden has been in New York, Heather has been in Idaho at Boise State University. This time has been a long but rewarding time for Heather and Holden. They have had ups and downs but worked so hard on keeping their relationship first, talking almost every night on Skype or Snapchat. They are both happy to finally have the long distance come to an end.
