I know I can't make it- what do I do?

While we will miss you, we understand! Please make Heather or Griffin aware at your earliest convenience if you know you will not be attending.

Will ground transportation be provided?
Answer
Yes! A bus will be available to shuttle guests from the hotels to the church, and from the church to the waterfront. If you'd like to take the bus to the ceremony, please meet in front of the Cambria Hotel no later than 12:40pm. If you'd like to take the bus from the ceremony to the waterfront, please meet in front of the church by 2:20pm. Both walks are under 15 minutes if you prefer to explore downtown Portland by foot.

How will we get to the island?
Answer
We have chartered a private ferry from Portland to Peaks Island, and we will return on the public ferry. Please check your email for important logistical information. If you have not received an email, please reach out to us at pywedding2024@gmail.com!

Is there a dress code?
Answer
Guests are invited to dress in Semi-formal attire for welcome drinks and Coastal Cocktail attire for the ceremony and reception. Please note that boarding the boat may involve walking over metal grates, and the Inn on Peaks is a short uphill walk from the ferry terminal. We recommend keeping this in mind when selecting footwear (might want to rethink those stilettos)! Please bring appropriate outerwear for any inclement weather and a light jacket for the boat ride back regardless of the daytime weather- it can get chilly on the water, even on warm summer days.

Parking Recommendations?
Answer
Parking in Downtown Portland can be difficult in the Summer- both street parking and garages tend to fill up quickly! Valet service is available if you are staying at one of the recommended hotels. If you live locally, we recommend using Uber or Lyft if it is practical for you. If you wish to drive, consider the following options: Spring Street Parking Garage // 45 Spring Street // Hours: 6am-1am Casco Bay Parking Garage // 54 Commercial Street // Hours: 4:30am-11:45pm

Can I bring a date?

While we would normally say "the more the merrier," due to the logistics of this event space is quite limited. All invited guests will be listed on your invitation.
