Heather and David’s paths first crossed during a night out at a local New Orleans’ bar whose name will only continue to be known by their closest friends and family. After some cheeky back and forth banter and David’s fancy dance moves, numbers were exchanged and they continued to talk on the phone till the wee hours of the morning for the next two weeks. After finally coordinating schedules, their first date took place at one of Heather’s favorite low key restaurants, Juan’s Flying Burrito (who doesn’t need a good margarita on a first date)! Their chemistry and connection was instant and got along as if they had known each other for years! And so their whirlwind romance began.

After a fresh snow fall David and Heather hiked to Lake Blanche, a beautiful lake nestled high in the Cottonwood Canyons. David made the hike out to be Heather’s idea so she thought nothing out of the ordinary, when he suggested she wear nice hiking clothes. Heather remembers laughing thinking nothing of it, because who has cute hiking clothes anyways? The hike is strenuous, so after getting to the top all Heather could think of was eating, but David insisted they take a photo instead. As David was pretending to take a photo he began getting nervous and repeating the phrase "what an adventure". Heather, a little confused, then sees David get down on one knee and propose. Heather, at first thought he was joking, because the sun was bright and he was far away. But once she got close and realized it was actually happening, she couldn't have been more surprised, more happy and of course said "YES"! David and Heather are looking forward to starting this new chapter together and can’t wait to celebrate with all of you, their favorite people, next October.
