Wedding Party

Shaylor Newman

Best Man

Dan and Shay (not the band!) first met each other while attending Archbishop Moeller High School in Cincinnati, OH. Sharing many high school experiences including riding around in a mutual friend’s car called “The Pickle” to being there when Dan’s father passed, Shay and Dan have always been like brothers and look forward to a life-long close friendship!

Katherine Kelchner

Maid of Honor

Cousin of the bride but life has brought them closer like sisters. Heather and Katherine made the leap of faith to move to Ohio together last year. No matter what and no matter where they will be there for each other!

Shandon Stamper Jr.

Best Man

Dan and Shandon first met at a college ministry while attending Northern Kentucky University. As Shandon shared years later, his first thought of Dan was “this guy is a jerk, he is talking to a girl I like.” Which for the record, was never the case! Thankfully so, as their friendship blossomed over both being faithful followers of Christ. Shandon has been both a spiritual mentor and somebody to walk in faith together. From experiences such as both borrowing strangers underwear at Man Camp to being there for each other in our toughest days, this is a friendship Dan cherishes and is excited to see that continue in married life!

Suzanne Deardorff

Bridesmaid

Suzanne is the sister of the bride. She paved the way for the family migrating to Ohio way back in 2018 when her and her husband moved to Springfield. Though they were separated by 7 years and many miles, the bond of sisters can never be broken. Heather was a bridesmaid in their wedding and now the roles are reversed!

Nick Blizniak

Groomsman

Cousin of the Groom Growing up Dan would look up to Nick as a “7 foot giant” and being so cool! As Dan got older…and taller, Nick has become not only just a cousin but a close friend to Dan. Not only sharing their love of 90s Rock and being concert buddies, they have carried on the tradition of trying to attend at least one game of every sport each year. Dan is looking forward to continuing these traditions!

Ellen Valentine-Weier

Bridesmaid

Sister of the groom Dan and Ellen haven't always been close growing up. They were actually found often butting heads but as they grew older, and Dan matured more, they became closer. Dan would often go over to Ellen's to spend time with her and the kids, and score a free meal! Ellen has countlessly tried to help with his cooking skills, but Dan has been focused more on the actual food. Hopefully that is a department Heather can help in! Ellen has been the best sister anybody could ask for. Sharing her opinions and advice, both when needed, and sometimes not, but always appreciated! Except when it comes to fashion advice! Dan is very much looking forward to this next stage in his life while sharing it with his sister!

Tom Kresyman

Groomsman

Tom and Dan met when they both worked at Moeller High School. Originally Dan didn’t talk to Tom for his first two weeks, being across the hall, and never came over to say hi! Finally, the two become acquainted and become first lunch buddies, then office buddies, chaperone buddies, and Christmas party buddies! Once Dan left Moeller they kept their friendship alive and continue to talk weekly and see each other frequently, including also, sharing a love of 90s rock and being concert buddies alongside Dan’s cousin. They have started an annual trip to Indianapolis during the summer to watch NASCAR for the weekend. Make sure to ask Tom about his signature dance move at the wedding! Dan is looking forward to keeping the friendship going and walking alongside each other and their marriages.

Katelyn McFeters

Bridesmaid

Friend of the bride since they were born, Katelyn and Heather both grew up in the same church in Portland, Oregon. They bonded over Sunday school classes, singing in the church choir, and their moms being close friends. Heather was sad to leave katelyn behind in Oregon but is excited to be reunited this fall.

Chris Wallace

Groomsman

Dan and Chris became close friends very quickly through college as they both were apart of Northstar Ministries and attend Lifegate Church together for years. Their friendship could be the silliest thing you ever saw from grown men cooking Dino Nuggets and Mac and Cheese to buying 10 bottles of Clear Americans to try all the flavors but could also be very intentional in their walk with Christ together. Dan is looking forward to walking through married life together as Chris got married recently, and continuing to be close!

Rheagan Shawver

Bridesmaid

Heather and Rheagan met in sophomore year of nursing school through mutual friends. They quickly bonded over the hurdles of nursing school, playing volleyball, loving Dunkin’ coffee, and an identical sense of humor. They were even roommates their senior year of college. Rheagan got married in 2021 in which Heather was a bridesmaid and now Rheagan is repaying the favor bringing along her husband and their adorable baby boy!

Sean Ryan

Groomsman

Dan met Sean during Dan's time working at Moeller High School. Sean has been a very valuable friend and mentor to Dan keeping him in line and in line with their shared faith. Sean can also be found today serving as our emcee! Dan is very much looking forward to have such a faithful, strong, caring man to walk with in his marriage and be an example of what a Godly marriage looks like.

Andrew Tallarigo

Groomsman

Dan first met Andrew when Dan rented a house back in Cincinnati a few years back. At that time Dan was working at Moeller, soon to realize the Tallarigo's. a Moeller family, lived right across the street. They quickly bonded as the family had a son that graduated and another at that time that was a junior. They also connected over their love for Italian food, good drinks, and classic movies! Dan would often find himself on the porch of their house and would famously coin the term Thirsty Thursday where the neighbors would gather in the yards and chat, play yard games, and enjoy their favorite beverage!

Ryan Baker

Groomsman

Dan and Ryan first met a few summers ago when they were co-workers working for an IT company. They bonded quickly over their sense of humor, the struggle of working at this company, and sports. They would connect over video games, and still play their favorite games together from time-to-time. Recently, without planning it, they moved into the same building, just two floors apart!

David Jacobs

Groomsman

Dan and David, also famously known as Farmer Dan and Trucker Dave (we're viral!), have been friends for quite some time. They grew up in the same neighborhood but never really got close until junior high and a little bit after. As Dan was working at the farm, David would always come and visit him on the job, help out, and connect with his co-workers. After work, they could frequently be found playing wiffle ball in the fields. Eventually, they became roommates and could be found going to late night Waffle House visits, playing MLB The Show, or working on their baseball podcast!

Vivian Deardorff

Flower Girl

Vivian is the bride’s niece. She is 6 and loves all things girly. She loves to talk your ear off and make art. She is lively and rambunctious with a big caring heart.

Emmie Valentine

Flower Girl

Niece of the groom Dan very much loves his niece! Emmie and Dan have always had a goofy relationship and can be found making funny faces at each other and chasing each other around! Emmie loves her disney princesses especially Frozen!

Logan Deardorff

Ring Bearer

Logan is a nephew of the bride. He is sweet and caring and all boy all the way! He loves to be included in what everyone else is doing.

Eli Valentine

Ring Bearer

Nephew of the groom Dan definitely loves his nephew and loves spending time with him. Eli has always loved being chased and tossed around...something Uncle Dan is always happy doing. Eli has become quite the athlete with throwing the football around kicking the soccer ball! Eli loves his super heroes, especially Spider-Man!
