Welcome Event: Contra Dancing

5:00 pm - 7:00 pm

Wear something easy breezy as you will be working up a little sweat! Shoes: easy to move and twist in - recommend shoes with back and flats over high heels.

Contra Dancing seems kinda random, but we promise you, we will all be laughing and in high spirits by the end of it! No prior experience with ANY dancing is necessary! Our hope is that this shared activity where everyone is a little out of their comfort zone will make the eventual conversations flow and bring a feeling of connection through the events. Contra Dancing is a mix of several folk dance styles where people dance in groups and trade partners in lines, circles, or squares. There is an easy 4 beat count, and every next move is announced by the caller that we hired specifically to make these kind of events fun. We will go through several dances with lots of breaks for water and little snackies in between. Each dance will basically be an intro lesson. Step on someone's foot? Go the wrong way? Get a beat behind? No problem - it's all fun and honestly the mistakes make everyone laugh together. Can't make it? No problem! See you at the next event!

Wedding

5:30 pm - 11:30 pm

Attire: Fall garden cocktail

Join us for a cocktail hour in the garden (note for shoes, this will be on grass) followed by dinner and tons of dancing! Since we will already technically be married in June, there is no formal ceremony. With love, we are limiting our guest list to adults only. We would be happy to help you find local babysitters! Please RSVP through this website, including our additional activities by August 18, 2025 to let us know if you'll be joining us!
