Hana Highway
The Road to Hana is more than just a great drive through a beautiful area of Maui. Most visitors tend to zip to and from Hana with a checklist of sights to photograph. This is the wrong way to do it. Do your due diligence beforehand, decide on a few locations that look the most intriguing, and take your time at each location. In order to truly experience Hana, it helps to know more about the history and legends of the area. You may find out that there are legendary stories associated with each spot where Gods have left their mark and historic battles have been fought. Transport yourself not only to Hana, but back in time to the historic moments and legendary tales that shape the islands.
Maui Stargazing - Haleakala Telescope Tours
This tour will take you up Haleakala for the evening sun set. Once the sun sets you will see the milky way, Saturn, Galaxies, and millions of stars. If you are lucky you will even be able to see a passing satelite with the naked eye. This tour is one not to be missed!
Lahaina Historic District
Favored by Hawaiʻi's royalty for its climate, location and surfing, Lahaina has something for everyone. Familiarize yourself with the quaint Maui town by taking a walk down Front Street, where you can enjoy stunning sunset and ocean views, while visiting shops, art galleries and restaurants. At Lahaina Harbor you’ll find Maui whale watching (seasonal, from Dec to May) tours, snorkeling trips, surf lessons and fishing charters. You can also walk the Historical Trail, mapping Lahaina’s historical sites and ending at Banyan Tree Park, home to the second-largest Banyan tree in the world! On weekends and holidays the 145-year-old tree also offers the perfect opportunity for souvenir buying, with arts and craft fairs held from 9AM-5PM.

Black Rock
If you are daring enough to jump- you can take the leap off of Black Rock. We however chose to snorkel around it. This is where we swam with sea turtles for the first time- and of course, plenty of fish..
Whalers Village Shopping Center & Museum
Set beachfront in the center of Kāʻanapali Beach Resort and just a short stroll away from our hotel, Whalers Village is a shopper's paradise. Its 90 stores feature Maui's best assortment of art galleries, high-end fashion, surf wear and jewelry, not to mention oceanfront restaurants, coffee shops and casual dining options. The Whalers Village Museum also shares the history of Hawaiʻi's whaling past and houses the world's largest collection of whaling memorabilia.
Kahekili Beach Park
Kahekili Beach Park is located on the most northerly end of Kāʻanapali Beach Resort. Nicknamed “Airport Beach” as there used to be a small airport here, this serene and uncrowded beach offers soft sand, a beautiful reef and crystal clear waters, making it a favorite among divers, swimmers and snorkelers. Green sea turtles are known to frequent the waters here and during whale season, it’s an ideal spot to whale watch from the shore. Kahekili Beach Park is family friendly and features showers, picnic tables, restrooms and barbecue grills.
Golf Courses
Kāʻanapali Beach Resort is home to 36 holes of world-class golf. The Kāʻanapali Royal Golf Course, designed by Robert Trent Jones Sr., has hosted Shell’s Wonderful World of Golf, the World Cup, LPGA Kemper Open, Champions Tour and the Champions Tour Skins Game. At 6,700 yards, this Par 71 course offers sweeping views of the Pacific Ocean and the West Maui Mountains. The Kāʻanapali Kai Course was designed by Arthur Jack Synder in 1976 and was renovated by Robin Nelson in 2005. This beautifully landscaped 6,400 yard, Par 70 course hosted the Golf Channel’s “Big Break Kāʻanapali” and boasts incredible scenic views. Suitable for golfers of all levels, professional golf instruction is available.
Pearl Harbor
Take a 45 minute flight to Oahu and visit one of the most iconic places in history. Here you can watch a video on the attacks of Pearl Harbor and take a boat to the Arizona Memorial to pay your respects to all of the lives lost at sea on that dreaded morning.
Dole Plantation
If you are visiting Oahu this is a must see. While visiting the Dole Plantation you can ride the Pineapple express train tour, experience the plantation garden tour, get lost in the pineapple garden maze and of course enjoy a Dole Whip.
