If you know us at all, then you know how fitting it was that Cody proposed on the top of a mountain at sunrise. And if you’ve heard the unabridged story, then you know that he nearly had to toss me over his shoulder to get me to the top in time to catch the view. But he got me there, with patience and poise, to perfectly set the stage for the most amazing proposal that I ever could have imagined.

Our elopement was very small and simple, and you may not be surprised to hear, on a mountain! We chose what may have been the most miserable day of December 2018, and got caught in the middle of a rain storm. There were trees falling down at home, and snow mixed in with the pouring rain. Every person in attendance was standing in several inches of water in their shoes and had blue lips to match their chattering teeth. But we are blessed with wonderful friends that never bat an eye at the chaos and in the end all of that really added to the experience, to make for a day that we will never forget.
