We're getting married!

We met in high school, freshman year, in an English class. Heather requested to be in the same project group as Clayton because she thought there was something unique about him, he was cute, and she wanted to get to know him. Much to Heather's excitement, Heather and Clayton were placed in the same group for their Romeo and Juliet project. We started talking, walked to the back of the school together a few times a week, AOL instant messaged each other, and our relationship grew from there! Clayton asked Heather to be his girlfriend on April 8th, 2008, and we have been dating ever since!

It was a cold, rainy, winter day in Yosemite. The weather forecast was predicting snow, so we decided to explore the valley instead of go on a strenuous hike. We started our day at the Yosemite Valley Lodge in our room with a view of Yosemite Falls, ventured to Mirror Lakes, then went to the Ahwahnee Hotel to stay warm indoors. We sat at the cafe, drinking tea and hot chocolate, waiting for the snow. Little did Heather know, Clayton was planning on proposing to her when it was snowing. Once the likelihood of snow increased, Heather and Clayton started venturing through the valley, back to their hotel. We stopped at a place along the river with a perfect view of Yosemite Falls on the right and Half Dome on the left. Clayton stood behind Heather, hugging her, spun her around, and got down on one knee asking if she would marry him. Of course, she said yes! Later that night, Clayton surprised Heather with a nice dinner reservation at the Ahwahnee's Dining Room. Their trip to Yosemite was very memorable and will forever hold a special place in their hearts.
