Our story, like many couples these days, began online. Both of us had been on various dating websites looking for that someone to share our lives with. I made the first move by liking and messaging him--I was so nervous. We messaged each other for a bit before he asked me on a lunch date. After that he asked me on another date, and then another, and so on. My dog Cinder instantly fell in love with him, and some days I'm convinced she likes him more than me. I don't blame her, he's pretty amazing. We're both nerds at heart, him being a big Star Wars fan and me loving all things Harry Potter. Our individual nerd collections have merged into a large nerd room that's still growing. We're not ashamed, but we are running out of room. We love to spend our free time playing games, video and tabletop, and relaxing on the couch watching tv. It was important to both of us to find someone that might not share all of our exact interests, but could relate in our excitement and let us each be our true nerdy, goofy selves. We have found that in each other and are so excited to start the rest of our lives together!
Yes, our wedding is taking place on that ever holy date in Alabama, the Iron Bowl. It was the date that was available. But we promise, we are making plans to make it worth it, including setting up TVs so that people can watch the game during the reception. We want everyone to have a nice evening in the country and have a good time.
