We have been lucky enough to know each other for 13 years. We both attended the same high school in Aurora, Colorado and met in Yearbook (of all places). Chelsea was the Editor-in-Chief of the Yearbook staff for her final two years in high school while Heather joined as a staffer in the fall of 2004. We both were not "out" at the time, and we did not cross paths again until years later - after both of us had fully accepted and embraced our identities as lesbians. We were unexpectedly reconnected in the summer of 2016 through a mutual friend. After a couple of coffee chats (ahem, dates, as one of them lasted FIVE hours) we decided to make it official. We both fell in love - hard and fast. After just a couple of months of dating, we knew that our love was a forever kind of thing. In 2017, Heather proposed to Chelsea with a romantic surprise at home; in 2018, Chelsea proposed to Heather during a beautiful walk in the park. With the love and support of our friends and family, we are so excited to take the next step in our journey together. Thank you for joining us. Love wins.
