Our favorite watering hole, a classy gin joint. It’s a dark lit, Art Deco vibe inside, with a solid cocktail and beer menu. Does not serve food.
Gastropub and big ass beer hall. If you like craft beer and good food, go here. Revel in the beer offerings and buy a pretzel. Also great for brunch. On Friday night, we’re planning to meet folks here for a nightcap at 9 p.m. All are welcome to come say hi if you're in town.
Whiskey wine bistro. Stellar cocktails.
Top notch brewery and taproom
One of our favorite restaurants in town. Refined with tons of locally sourced offerings. Autumn dined here at the chef’s table and was very impressed with the bread offerings. She gave it two thumbs up.
Rhode Island strip pizza. If you don’t know, now you know. https://www.providencejournal.com/story/lifestyle/food/2023/02/09/what-is-a-rhode-island-pizza-strip-what-it-is-and-where-to-get-some/69837876007/
A classic seafood restaurant in downtown Providence. White linen table cloths, but not especially fancy. If you are feeling randy, get the seafood tower. (Brendan memorably crushed once such tower many years ago with Brian K. and Sharon L.)
It’s a Peruvian steakhouse with a side of Cracker Barrel. Go here if you are hungry and like meats. Fun and loud and delicious.
A low-key neighborhood gem. Menu is well-rounded, full of RI offerings and the plates are exceptional. Also great for brunch.
Our favorite store in the world — no joke. Consider it a museum of oddities, a so-called emporium of pop culture. Books, furniture, and other oddball shit. Open only on Saturday and Sundays. Swing by, you won’t regret it.
Small, but mighty, record shop
$10 per person freeplay pinball and arcade all day. ‘Nuff said.
Great independent book store in Wayland Square
