Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Please RSVP by Friday, July 21st.

Question

Are you registered? Where?

Answer

No, since we are already fully furnished in our apartment, we don't have a gift registry. If you would like to give a gift, we would appreciate a cash contribution to our honeymoon or a small gift that is meaningful to you.

Question

Is there transportation to and from the ceremony?

Answer

Yes there is, but we need you to sign up for transportation in your RSVP if you want to join in, so we have enough seats for everyone. Please note that since the venue is way out in the country, you cannot order an Uber there. There is limited availability of taxis through Amherstburg Taxi Service. There will be a bus from the Hampton Inn (Huron Church Rd, Windsor) to the venue and back. The bus will leave the Hampton Inn at 3:00 PM on Saturday, arriving at Sprucewood around 3:30. At the end of the night, the bus will leave Sprucewood at 1:00 AM and return to the Hampton Inn at 1:30. From there, you can get an Uber/taxi/ride from a friend to get home. For everyone who lives in the Amherstburg/Harrow area and people renting houses near the venue, we will have two busses operating as shuttles to bring people to and from the wedding. Heather and Brandon will plan out the shuttle times and routes after we collect the RSVPs, and we will reach out to everyone to let you know what time your shuttle will be.

Question

Is parking available at the venue?

Answer

Yes, if you want to drive to and from the wedding, there is a large parking lot at the venue.

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

The ceremony will start at 4, but it is best to arrive around 3:30 - 3:45 so you have a chance to take a look around the venue and take your seats with no rush.

Question

What will we be eating for dinner?

Answer

During the cocktail hour, there will be several canapees passed around, with vegetarian options. Dinner will be served family style. There will be a romaine and fennel salad with balsamic vinaigrette to start. The main meats will be herb encrusted chicken breast with white wine sauce and pan seared tilapia fillet with pineapple salsa, accompanied by french beans and roasted mini creamer potatoes. The vegan option for the main is quinoa and roasted vegetables with balsamic glaze. We will finish off with key lime pie for dessert. We will also make sure everyone's dietary needs are met! We will also have a tasty midnight snack, but we are leaving that one as a surprise!

Question

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

Yes, please let us know in your RSVP about any food allergy or dietary restrictions. We will use these to make sure everyone has great food to enjoy.

Question

What should I wear?

Answer

Semi-formal or cocktail attire is perfect! Keep in mind that it might be pretty hot and humid, but since we are next to the lake we might also see some wind. Also, wear shoes that will allow you to walk through grass and gravel comfortably.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Yes, kids of all ages are welcome to join the party. Please let us know in your RSVP if you are bringing your kiddos, so we can have the tables set up for them.
